Mentorship Program
UTIHP's new Mentorship Program pairs up students who are interested in working in international health with mentors (professors and working professionals) who have a wealth of field experience abroad. Both students and mentors come from a variety of disciplines, including medicine, engineering, public health, dentistry, and anthropology. Mentor-student pairs will meet at least twice during the academic year, and maintain constant communication via email or telephone. They are also encouraged to explore other forms of mentoring, e.g. shadowing, volunteering, networking, etc. In the future, the program may also include special seminars or guest speaker events, drawing from the many experiences of the mentors and/or students.
